Eliminate the long-standing eyesore of a basement that will never be used

To attract more families — families with children or planning to have children — to come to Bruderheim and settle here, a little extra is required.  As good as Bruderheim looks, it must and can be made to look better. 

Maybe that is what Bruderheim is doing, but one has to wonder.

The basement at the east end of Brookside that is featured on this page has been waiting for its removal for a long time.

One can speculate on what the reasons are why that basement is in the state it is in.
   Perhaps (and quite likely) the building inspection results didn't give it a clean bill of health.  However, s..t or get off the pot.  If there is a contractor that is responsible for what is in place, get him to restore the site to the state it should be in. 
   If the contractor no longer operates (quite possibly) because he went broke, what is the Town waiting for?  This problem will not fix itself.  Do something about it!
   That still leaves one to wonder why, when the basement was being poured, the contractor was permitted to dump his left-over concrete right in front of the basement, between the basement and the side of the road.  Should not someone have been in charge of making sure that no garbage is being dumped in town where it should not be dumped and hand at least a ticket to the offender?
